As we were to join our tour of Europe the next day we packed up the things we would need and headed off to the train station as there was once again a train strike on and we didn't know how long it would take us to get into London. Following Sarah's great directions, we caught the train replacement bus which took us to the nearest station where trains were running. After several changes of trains we successfully arrived at James Park Station and from there it was only a short walk to St Ermins Hotel where we stayed that night. We then caught another train to Monument Station then walked to Bank Station where we had a light breakfast. Our next train trip from Bank Station took us to Old Station where we got off and walked to 'Fifteen' London Restaurant, This is owned by the famous Jamie Oliver who plays a role in sponsoring young people, hence a % of the meal bill goes to a particular child whose photo is on the billing card. Jamie Oliver is also becoming popular for his TV food and healthy living presentations throughout the world.
Sarah and Stephen soon joined us and we had a lovely meal together in peaceful, interesting surrounds. The meals were very big but beautifully presented and I could well have done with just an entree.
It was very special visiting Fifteen as it is a very popular restaurant and Sarah had planned and booked our table way in advance. If we had turned up even ten minutes late we would have lost the booking.
After leaving the restaurant we caught another train to the Camden Markets which are huge with craft, food and stalls of all sorts. The outside of the buildings have beautiful themed presentations and colourful displays. We wandered round but, even though cheap, we didn't buy. We met Stephen at the Oxford Arms pub to watch some of the Manchester v Everton soccer game before heading back to the underground.
